Tips for Cape Town addresses
- 8001 is not the code for all of Cape Town. It covers the city centre and the City Bowl. Suburbs have their own codes.
- Watch for duplicate names. Cape Town has suburbs that share names with places elsewhere, such as Observatory, Rosebank and Claremont, which also exist in other cities with different codes.
- Use the street code for deliveries. Sea Point’s PO Box code (8060) is different from its street code (8005), and couriers need the street code.
